Wiswall-Greene family photographs, ca. 1900-1930.

Summary: Mostly studio portraits, some oversize, of family and friends including Col. William Greene, Mary Greene Wiswall, Mary Bernard Aguirre, Aury Dowdle, James H. Kirk, the King family, Frank and Mary Elizabeth Proctor, Lewis Ricketts, the Moson and Wiswall families, and others. There are images of the Greene-Cananea Meat Packing house taken by Ray Manley for Western Ways, an image of the the first automobile in Cananea, and views of Cananea including the Proctor home. There is one round photograph of Lucie Newton and several images of Sister St. Peter, the principal of St. Joseph's Academy and teacher of Mary Greene. Some of the portraits include interesting women's clothing and women's hats of the period. Photographers responsible for the portraits include the Henry Buehman, Fred J. Feldman, and Hartwell.

Biographical note: Charles Wiswall was general manager of the Greene Cattle Company in Cananea, Mexico working for Col. William C. Greene until Greene's death. He married Col. Greene's widow, Mary Proctor Greene in 1918. She was the daughter of Frank and Mary Elizabeth Proctor. Charles died in March 1952 and Mary died in 1955 in Cananea.
